Credit Card Consolidation – Just Imagine Being Debt Free

Man leaoing with joyWhen some people have time on their hands, they’ll sit and imagine how it would feel to take a two-week cruise through Europe. Others might imagine how it would feel to retire young. And others might imagine how great it would be to own a beach house. But if you’re seriously in debt, what you may be imagining is how great it would be to eliminate those debts.

How credit card consolidation could help that dream come true

The nasty part of credit card debt is that the only way you can totally eliminate it is by filing for bankruptcy, which certainly has its bad consequences. Most people don’t want the stain of a bankruptcy on their record so will choose credit card consolidation instead. There are several ways you can achieve this but most of them can’t eliminate your credit card debts. They’re just a way to better manage them so that you can get out of debt in maybe five years. Whether you choose a debt consolidation loan, consumer credit counseling or some other form of debt consolidation, one fact remains – you will have not reduced your debts. You will have only moved them from one set of creditors to another.

Credit card consolidation done right

We think a better answer to credit card consolidation is through debt settlement. This is where we negotiate with your credit card providers to get both your balances and interest rates reduced. We can do this because our debt counselors are skilled negotiators and have good working relationships with the credit card companies. We offer one of the industry’s best debt reduction plans and usually help our clients reduce their credit card bills saving thousands of dollars in the process.

More benefits

When you let us handle debt settlement for you, you’ll have only the one monthly payment instead of the many bills you’re currently paying. This will be an amount you can afford and each payment you send us will be put into a trust account insured by the FDIC. We then use this money to pay off your debts once all your credit card providers have agreed to our settlement offers. In addition to giving you an affordable payment plan, debt settlement can help you become debt-free within 24 to 48 months from the time you start your plan.

Debt settlement isn’t for everyone

Unfortunately, debt settlement isn’t for everyone. We can only settle some types of unsecured debts such as credit card debts, personal lines of credit, personal loans and medical bills. We cannot settle student loan debts, taxes owed or secured debts such as home and auto loans. You also need to be $7,500 or more in debt for us to be able to help. And, finally, debt settlement will have a negative impact on your credit score although not as bad a one as if you had filed for bankruptcy.

If debt settlement isn’t for you

If you feel debt settlement isn’t for you for any reason, you might try consumer credit counseling. There is probably an agency in your area that offers this service. If not, there are a number available via the Internet. Make sure you choose one that’s a nonprofit as it will probably either provide its services free or for very low fees. If you choose an Internet-based provider, be sure to do your homework as there are scam artists just waiting to prey on unsuspecting debtors. You can usually get a rating on any of these companies from the Better Business Bureau. Also, the agency should be a member of the Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies as it is the nation’s largest association of non-profit credit counseling companies.

If you think debt settlement would be a good option

If you do think debt settlement might be for you, call our toll-free number today or fill in the form you’ll find on this page. We’d be happy to tell you more about debt settlement and explain how it could help you.
