Frozen Credit? No Problem.
1. What is a credit freeze?
A credit or security freeze is a tool that allows you to shut down access to your credit report.
2. What does a credit freeze do?
If your credit is frozen, banks and other institutions can’t pull credit reports. This helps prevent identity thieves from using your information to open new credit accounts.
3. Why can’t I be enrolled into a National Debt Relief debt settlement program with a freeze on my credit?
A credit freeze prevents banks and other organizations from accessing your credit report, but National Debt Relief has to do a soft credit pull before qualifying you for our program. The report helps us determine whether our program is the best option for you and helps us get all the information we need in order to negotiate with your creditors.
4. What can I do?
To complete your qualification and enrollment with National Debt Relief, we need a soft credit pull – so you’ll have to permanently or temporarily suspend the freeze. You were issued a unique PIN when you froze your credit, and you’ll need that PIN in order to unfreeze it.
You can choose to lift the credit freeze temporarily for a specific amount of time, OR for just one specific business (National Debt Relief), OR you can lift the freeze altogether.
